Chemical Waste

If you are generating chemical waste that you intend to leave behind, it must be properly packaged and documented on a waste form before you depart APS. See a member of the 9-BM staff for guidance before you start generating chemical waste in the chemistry lab.

Shipping

If you wish to ship your samples, chemicals, or equipment to the beamline ahead of your scheduled run, please follow the instructions in the User Info section of our website here.

Shipping materials out from ANL is a complex process. If you plan to ship chemicals and / or hardware back to your home institution when your run concludes, see a member of the 9-BM beamline staff as soon as possible for assistance. If you have shipped materials through us in the past, and are familiar with the procedures, you can find the documentation for doing so in the User Info section of our website here.
