Chemical Waste
If you are generating chemical waste that you intend to leave behind, it must be properly packaged and documented on a waste form before you depart APS. Never store incompatible chemicals in the same container. See Mike or another member of the sector staff for guidance before you start working with chemicals and sample materials.
Shipping
If you wish to ship your samples, chemicals, or equipment to the beamline ahead of your scheduled run, please follow the instructions in the User Info section of our website here.
Shipping materials out from ANL is a complex process. If you plan to ship chemicals and / or hardware back to your home institution when your run concludes, see Mike or another member of the staff as soon as possible for assistance. If you have shipped materials through us in the past, and are familiar with the procedures, you can find the documentation for doing so on our web site at this link. |
Sector 20 operations are supported by the US Department of Energy and the Canadian Light Source. | |
